Mickey callisto

Growing up in a working class council estate in Sunderland, and now based in Liverpool, Mickey Spence went to his first warehouse rave in 2019 dressed in a full body ski-suit and hasn't looked back since. Renaming himself after the third biggest moon in our solar system, Callisto - inspired by Arctic Monkeys' Tranquility Base Hotel - dreamed up the concept of a gay club on the moon and called it 'Homospace'

With headline tour dates to come before the end of the year , as well as a shows with CMAT during her run of homecoming Dublin shows, the last 12 months have seen Callisto perform at Green Man, Latitude, The Great Escape, Dot 2 Dot, Get Together,  Sŵn and Live at Leeds as well as hit the road with Icelandic Eurovision star Daði Freyr. All the while, he's won backing from the likes of Still Listening, Wax, Buzz, Blogotheque, Under the Radar, Licks Mag, Liverpool's Museum Sessions and BBC Introducing.
